Feminist activism transformed academia. Feminist activists-academics have founded and produced numerous journals that focus on the histories of women's lives and activisms as well as the theoretical interventions of feminism on the practice of history and on the study of women's varied lives. Although the articles in these publications do not necessarily deal with post-1960 feminisms, their presence is a direct result of the second wave.
