I'm co-organizing a conference on "the end of welfare as we know it," a decade later. The event will be held on *Monday, February 26, 2007 *on the campus of Trinity College. Various scholars, activists, agency workers, and academics will be attending the event. Noted feminist scholar and activist Eileen Boris will give the keynote address, "Welfare Wars: Activism, Scholarship, and Poor People's Movements."
